Sugar Creek Hollow Challenge

Welcome to another Sensational Saturday at Sugar Creek Hollow This week we want you to make vintage, shabby chic or primitive projects using ...your designer paper created by YOU!

now how fun! and I loved it! used my Distress Inks AND Markers (did i tell ya that I WON THE ENTIRE SET of markers at the Outlawz Baltimore Retreat!....wooo hoooo...happy dance!) My background mat was done by swiping the pads directly onto the watercolor paper and then waterbrushing to blend...then using mini diamond stamp from Hampton Art I stamped down the side.
Then on my watercolor paper for the main image, I stamped the sentiment in clear versamark and clear embossed. Then sponged over the sentiment and stamped the same mini diamond stamp over the sentiment area using the distress ink pad - wiped away ink and then the clear embossed image comes through.
On the flower (stamp from Rubber Stampede - Cherry Blossom), colored with the markers directly onto the stamp, lightly misted the stamp and then stamped onto the paper. That gives a wonderful watercolor effect and then lightly used markers to highlight. Sponged around the edges with more of the Distress pads.
THEN had fun adding the embellishments.... didn't list my colors because not thinking I put them away before I realized I hadn't written them down...pretty sure it was Ranger's Stormy Sky, Tumbled Glass, Pine Needles and Walnut (or Burlap?) but really its up to you use whatever color palette you want to use (-:

i love my designer paper ( its an addiction!!!) but it is really fun to create your own background too!

Now looking forward to seeing what you create! love the ideas we get from all the entries (-:
now off to babysit the grand kids (BIG SMILE HERE)
hugs
