Ornament card

hi there,
very behind ..so sorry havent posted...swamped at work. I manage office properties right next to the Quantico Marine base and with the sniper shootings at the Marine museum it has been crazy around here. We had a bomb threat that thankfully turned out to be nothing but was sure scary while they were investigating....lost a whole day dealing with that...oh well! stop whining right!

so here is one of my cards from Heartfelt Creations that was on the DT Blog this past Wednesday....

Product:
HCPC3336 Ornament Medallion PreCut Set

1298B Christmas Joy

Instructions:
Cut card base using cranberry cs 5.5 x 11 and folded in half.
Cut designer paper 5.25 x 5
Added organdy ribbon to side of dp and adhered dp to card base
Cut cranberry cs 4.25 x 5 for mat.

Cut black cs 4 x 4.75 Using Versamark – randomly stamped all the ornaments in this set onto the card. Using embossing powders white, gold, green and red, brushed them across areas of the card as seen. Blew off excess powder and lightly sprayed with hairspray to set the powder.
Adhered to card.

Stamped sentiment using cranberry dye ink onto white cs. Cut with nestie tag and lightly sponged with same ink while still in the die.

Hard decision where to place the sentiment LOL!

this can be a "little" messy if  you go heavy with the powders, just a touch goes a long way!!

Final embellishment of gold mini pearls.

enjoy the weekend!

Easy card - great for beginner!

hello - well back to work!
today I have an easy card to share using stamps from Heartfelt Creations.
One thing that HFC likes is for the DT to list their HFC products and provide instructions.

this one you can see is straight stamping, embossing and used the die cut for the leaves.
Did this one for those of you new to stamping or for anyone who would like to just stamp and not pull out all the Copics or chalks or watercolors or pencils or...or ...or

you get the idea - an actual STAMPED card  LOL
feels weird for me since I'm truly a coloring addict ...

Zip Dry Glue
Art Glitter – clear adhesive
Gala Glitz – red

Stamped sentiment with Versa Mark, heat embossed with red embossing powder

Stamped leaves onto green cs. Cut with matching Holly diecut

Applied 2 x 4 strip designer paper to bottom of card and matted image to top of card
Added ribbon

Jail Bible Study tonight 7pm - appreciate all prayers - tonight we are following up on Luke 16 and at their request studying Rev 20 and the "truths about Hell" - some dont believe a loving God would let anyone be in Hell for an eternity - this should be an eye opener - pray for lost souls and restored relationships with the Lord

Heartfelt Creations - Rustic Autumn Wheel PreCut Set

hi there (-:
love this Heartfelt Creations set for Autumn - have done this card several times but this time did it a little differently - NOT detailed coloring - ALL sponging!!
3327 Rustic Autumn Wheel PreCut Set
First stamped image in light tan onto white cardstock. Sponged areas of color using Memento’s Potter’s Clay and Vivid’s Butterscotch, Vintage Green, Tuscan Tan and Coffee Bean. Sponged these areas very heavily and in a few small areas used colored pencils and pencil blender (which actually ran..but I liked the effect!!)
Then stamped image onto vellum using Black Stazon. Lined up over image that was color sponged and adhered. Using Copics, highlighted grass and wood. Outlined areas with copic pen black.

Stamped sentiment and sponged lightly while still in nestie die. Added leaves punched with MS punch. Matted image onto black cs, using stash designer paper covered the corners, matted onto stash striped designer paper. Base cardstock is brown.

THIS is really neat IRL and took so much less time than detail Copic coloring...

have a blessed day!

Prayer

Good Day!  hopefully (-:
This is for the Stampin Sister's in Christ challenge.
This week their theme is ...Prayer!

One of the most precious gifts we have for those who know Jesus as their Saviour is the ability to have a personal relationship with him...through prayer! No one can take this away from us..we can pray at any time. Most of my prayer life happens.... while driving, shopping. thinking, cleaning, creating...you name it - Jesus is there in my thoughts and no one can take that from me! How wonderful it is knowing that regardless of what is going on...Jesus has this all under control and everything is under His plan...awesome...
ok, stepping down from my soap box LOL

This little image from Mo Manning is a fav of mine....loved pulling her out !!also entered in challenge over at Mo's Challenge Blog

colored with Copics E00, 02, 04, 11, 17, B21, 23, 66, RV21, 23, 34 and C2
Stash designer paper matted onto SU's Not Quite Navy. Base cardstock is a really pretty pearly pink! (but I dont know where it came from..sorry)  Sponged background with SU's Not Quite Navy
"Faith" sentiment is from Art Impressions and prayer is computer generated..
She and her little bear are pieced and adhered with dimensional dots.

have a blessed "prayerful" day,
today's thought - thankful we have a God that answers prayer (-:

Phridays are Phindys - our Challenge - Fancy Folds!

Hi there....I'm back!
exhausted - but back to work today...busy weekend and much to catch up on (groceries, laundry, a nephew's graduation from ITT and YES, there will be some cardmaking time in there somewhere...my mojo is starvin and I've so missed my cyber friends!)

Over at Phindy's - the challenge this week is "Fancy folds (anything other than a plain card!)"
OK - totally out of my comfort zone and with very limited supplies...here is my "pull card" instead of a standard folded card

This is the front flat view

this is the view when the little candy cane is pulled out - pops up the image and reveals the sentiment underneath
you can see how this is assembled from this side view
the candy cane is a brad - thought it was different from using a ribbon...dp is from Cosmo and SU, cardstock is GKD's Rocket Red and SU's Glorious Green. Sentiment is from Penny Black

this adorable image is from Phindy's Christmas Cuties Collection called "Peppermint Perfection" .

The winner of the Challenge will be chosen by Random.org and will receive an $8 Gift Certificate to the Phindy's Place store. The Pick of the Week wins a 20% off voucher for the Phindy's Place store. Don't forget that once a month we will choose an overall winner from the weekly winners and they will be offered a Guest position on the DT - and of course a free image from Phindy's Place to use for that week's challenge!

Hope you get a chance to pop over to the Challenge Blog and check out the DT's cards. You will be amazed at the gorgeous and creative folds they used...

TGIF !!
thanking the Lord for our safe travels this past week (-:

distressed foil

hi there,
tried something different....embossed foil and before I removed the cardstock underneath...I colored one half with Copic Black and then using a paper towel dampened with the 0 blender, wiped the foil...IRL it looks pretty good...

Love this sentiment from Heartfelt Creations - this is going to be my card that I will use for my "mass production" cards this year - usually have about 75 that I make for church family, co-workers and friends. Will change out background mat as I get bored cutting the same color and probably different ribbons...and embellishments....LOL....you get the idea!

have outlined the sentiment with Copic C1 and lightly touched music with Copic E11.Added clear glitter - this is one of those cards that's so much prettier in your hands...I cant get shiny pics photographed well (-:
Card Ingredients:
HCPC 3341 Church in the Wildwood PreCut Set
Navy and white cs
Copics 100, C1 and E11
Sparkly white stash ribbon
decorative scissors

Think I will try using red and green on the foil and see how that turns out!

This is pre-posted for Tuesday, just in case I am still in West Virginia (no cell service in the mountains!)

I believe in you

well, as you read this - DH and I (along with youngest daughter and her family - she has the two youngest Grankids, Lily and Logan) are all in Logan West Virginia. We had to come down to be with my MIL - she is 89. We will be here a few days so have spread some cards for my blog over the next few days...
Was going to send this card over to Heartfelt Creations for their blog post this coming Wednesday, but since this trip came up so unexpectedly - using it for my own blog post....

The stamp sets and die are from Heartfelt Creations
Card ingredients:
HCPC 3304 Posy Patch Swirls PreCut Set (sentiment)

HCD703 Daisy Patch die cut

Ink: Memento Potters Clay
Punches - swirl flourish, scallop circle, circle and there is a strip of see-thru ribbon across card...
OK, back to being with family and helping my MIL
hope you have a wonderful Lord's Day!
