STV Color Challenge

Last night finally had enough energy to visit some blogs (have so missed everyone) AND create a card. Used up all my "stash" cards for autoposting but good thing I had them since just wasnt up to doing anything...can you imagine a laundry room with laundry as high as the washer!!! well I not only can imagine it...I'm looking at it LOL

This one is for the STV Color Challenge this week but it ends tonight!

just got the new GKD Set by Theresa Momber (love her stuff!) and wanted to try the water spritz technique using Ranger Distress Ink Stormy Sky - didnt quite turn out like I wanted but no time to do another card....it is what it is LOL
colored with Ranger Distress inks- Peeled Paint Green, Crushed Olive, Victorian Velvet Pink, Milled Lavendar and Wild Honey - covered areas with glitter pens....need to practice working with these!

have a blessed day

Hydrangea by Tiffany Doodles

Scripture: Philippians 4:6-7 "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

Good morning - how do we live without going to this verse?  I did until I was 36...then accepted Christ and have never wanted to go back to the "old me" again...my flesh draws me back sometimes and I hate that but everyday since accepting Christ as my Savior I know he guards me....now there is true peace!

Stampin Sisters in Christ challenge this week is:
A different kind of peace... piece... as in paper piecing. Use paper piecing in the main image of your card/project.

Well I love hydrangeas - one of my GranMa's favorite flowers (along with irises) that she had growing all around her house - my "safe" place as a child.

This is an unusual color arrangement - also entering the Copic Creations challenge to use all BLUES!
Decided to go for a different combination....I think it confused the camera LOL...picture doesnt do it justice.

Cardstock: SU Not Quite Navy, Bordering Blue, Taken with Teal, Black
Ink:  SU Not Quite Navy sponged over background newspaper mat
Copics: B23, 32, 41, 97...BG13, 15, 18, 23, 49

Thanks for stopping by...

STV Sketch Challenge

Hi there, had a chance last night to actually create a card just for fun!! wanted to enter Stamp TV's Sketch challenge for this week

I immediately thought of little images - since I love the little creatures in the Quite a Catch set...
here's my card

arent they adorable! used SU ink "Tempting Turquoise" and Memento Black. Cardstock is GKD - Turquoise Sea and stash design paper (I think its Websters)....here are the Copics..oh and used Nestie's Labels Four....

ok - off to work - supposed to be beautiful here....am really feeling so blessed especially since the catastrophe that has hit Japan. We know God has this in His plan, but hearts go out to these people.
I sit here in my home and while I enjoy it all - it really is meaningless . Knowing Jesus - loving Him and serving Him are the most important - those are what lasts for an eternity.
Praying for the people in Japan - dont know how anyone could face all they have to face without the Lord...

Have a blessed day,

Joan's Challenges

hi there, stayed home sick today - so nauseated I cant believe it !!!
anyway, chewing and chewing the TUMS and took break from working on laptop and am craftin'...

was able to combine both of Joan's Gardens Challenges for this week - created my card and from its scraps...went ahead and created a tag...

The tag winner is decided by votes - so I am shamelessly asking for votes (unless of course you also entered LOL)   Yikes! I'm out of it - this tag challenge is closed so will wait for new one tomorrow THEN you can vote next week...sorry, blaming it on the meds!!!

Card challenge is to : use orange n blue, a die cut, a circle and Spring theme...
so using SU cardstock, retired dp, Nestie Lotus die, MS flower punches, and vellum paper (that I airbrushed Copic B24 and YR68) and blue mini pearls...my card

then using scraps from the card...and Ranger Distress inks Tumbled Glass and Spice Marmalade applied to crumpled tag and lightly misted, dryed and matted with same blue cs, and a Hero Arts stamp. Used the insides of the Lotus die and the teeny tiny flowers+ flowers from the card, ribbon and pearls!

Now that was fun to do two at the same time!

Ok, now going back to work on laptop - have lots of paperwork to do so the day isnt lost for work...

hugs,

Heartfelt Creations and Scrap Mart Blog Hop

Today is the last of the Scrap Mart Blog hop featuring Heartfelt Creations products.  They have partnered with some of the Design Team at Heartfelt Creations and have used Heartfelt as their focus all week. They have gorgeous projects on their hop - wonderful inspiration. You should have come here from Gini Cagle's gorgeous blog and the other blogs on today's end of the hop are Dee Jackson (Heartfelt DT member) and Karen Walker(Scrap Mart DT member).

My card is a large one - got to use my new Grand Caliber and the one die I could afford to purchase with it  LOL....

used Heartfelt Creations:
HCPC 3374  and HCPC 3375  Flora Grande 1 and 2 - these go with the Nestie die Blossoms 3 (but I dont havae that one yet) - They were handcut, but they are large and easy to cut.
HCPC 3376 Distressed Leaves (this set also has a matching Nestie die with same name
HCPC 3377 Sympathy Sentiment
HCD 711 Dutch Iris Die (I used the beautiful flourish die)

Cardstock is all from Stampin Up - base is Not Quite Navy and the rest is retired designer paper.

LOVE Heartfelt 's Gala Glitz - used it for the center of the some of the flowers - as well as mini pearls and some stash wire that I rolled and added along with some stash ribbon. Flowers were colored with Stampin Up markers - Blush Blossom and Creamy Caramel...leaves with Sage Shadow.

The sentiment frame is a tip I got from the wonderful blog of my friend Brenda Turner . Used the Nestie Big Scalloped Ovals Lg!  Thanks Brenda - will be doing this more often with my sentiments (-:

Hope you enjoyed the hop and this card!

Have a beautiful day
