Hi there,
This is the beginning of a new challenge over at the Digi Doodle Shop Challenge Blog and the challenge this week is 'Get The Bunting Out'.
How you interpret this is entirely up to you, but please make sure you stick to the theme, otherwise your entry won't be entered into the prize draw. To join our challenges you don’t have to use a Digi Doodle Shop image, but if you do use one, your entry will count twice. You are also allowed to enter our challenge as many times as you like, as long as you enter with a new card/craft.
The winner of this challenge will win a $10 gift certificate from Digi Doodle Shop where you’ll be spoilt for choice, as there are so many great images to choose from. We will also have 2 runners up who will get a badge to wear on their blogs.

I chose this perfect image for a gentleman I have in mind, it's called the Ship

colored with Copics, sentiment letters are from Creative Vision's "Stick Alphabet" set, designer paper from MME - Follow Your Heart - Be Amazing 6x6 pad, small twine from stash, bunting done with SU punch and eyelets from stash.

Things are slowly getting back to a normal routine and we have our air conditioning fixed..

Sugar Creek Hollow Challenge

Hey Hey Hey!
Welcome to another Sensational Saturday at Sugar Creek Hollow. This week we want you to make vintage, shabby chic or primitive projects using....Vintage Fashion!!!

I'm particularly lovin this week's challenge because our sponsor is the Digi Doodle Shop.

I'm proud to say that I am also on their Design Team. I was introduced to this digital image store through their sponsoring a challenge for Sugar Creek Hollow earlier this year - fell in love with their images....

The image I received  from the Digi Doodle Shop is called 1800's Vintage Dress 4. I took the liberty of writing "Jane Eyre" on the book...
kept the embellishments low key to show this gorgeous dress!

Designer Paper from My Minds Eye - Follow Your Heart, cardstock used - turquoise, brown, coral, flourishs with EK punch, Fiskars corner punches, SU corner photo punch, paper piercing, viva pearl pen - ice white, stash lace...colored with Copics BG 000, 18, 21, 49...E00, 01, 04, 31...RV 23, 34, paper pieced image and raised it on dimensional adhesive dots

Hope you get to enter - the winner will receive a $10 gift certificate from the Digi Doodle Shop and the winner badge from Sugar Creek Hollow...

much going on with family and friends so not sure if I will get to craft...Have a wonderful Memorial Day remembering and thankful to those who gave their all so we could enjoy all the freedoms we have here in the good ole USA!

Update

Thanks so much for everyone's prayers. Turns out it was a combination of diverticulitis , ulcers, and her blood thinning medication! They have it all worked out now (even her sugar which jumped up to 335, she only weighs 120 lbs, nurse said her blood was like syrup!) So now we are just getting her settled at home. Plan to leave here Sunday .... Thanks again Linda Ps I don't have pics of my cards for my DT's on my iPad, will post them all on Monday...sorry!

Family emergency

Everyone, I'm so sorry but won't be blogging or posting for a few days...my MIL has been taken to hospital. She has received blood transfusions and they are planning to do more. We don't know when the bleeding started. Her home health care nurse discovered this. Her blood pressure keeps dropping and this has prevented them from doing tests they want to perform. She is 90, will be 91 in July. I am most worried about my husband, he is her only living son and they are very close. He talks with her every day. Takes us about 6.5 hours to get there. There is no Internet at her house. Hoping there will be at the hospital but we are going to be way down in Logan County (Hatfield and McCoy country)....hoping the McDonald's there will have wifi (and there's only one of them!).... Appreciate prayers for her and traveling safety for us

Digi Doodle Shop Challenge #108

Hi there,
This is the beginning of a new challenge over at the Digi Doodle Shop Challenge Blog and the challenge this week is ...anything WORK RELATED !
One of the things I love about the Digi Doodle Shop images is their ability to "take me back in time"...this image called Canned Peaches is just one of those images.
Oh my...havent canned peaches in years and years...and as a kid - used to love picking peaches from my Pa-Paw's peach trees and then "trying" to help my Ma-Maw....who would usually offer up a nice sweet peach to get us out of the kitchen. It was such a teeny tiny kitchen and you can imagine how much we were probably in the way. Her kitchen counter wasnt any wider than about 2 feet. She would use it which was next to the small stove and then also the side of the sink that hung on the wall and the tiny kitchen table (which I still have and keep in my laundry room. It has the porcelain enamel table top) to skin and pit and can her peaches... but didn't we love it when fresh peach cobbler or peach pie was served...oh what sweet memories!
can peaches sure don't beat Canned Peaches !!!
Colored with Pencils and OMG (odorless mineral spirits)
sentiment is from Studio K ($1 stamp from Michaels)
Cardstock is SU's Not Quite Navy and retired SU designer paper and stash gingham ribbon
distressed with Ranger's Burlap ink

Hope you get to join us....
remember the random big winner will receive the winner's badge and a $10 gift certificate to shop at the Digi Doodle Shop AND there are also 2 runners up who will get a badge to wear on their blogs. You don't have to use a Digi Doodle Shop image, but are entered twice if you do!

Oh I want a beautiful fresh, ripe peach now some kinda bad....
