Stamp TV's July CSS Alumni Blog Hop

Hi there
it's that time of the month again when the STV Center Stage Alumni brings you a Hop and YOU have the chance to win a huge grab bag of fabulous Gina K. Designs stamps... oh yeahhhhh

For this month's Hop, our awesome team mate Melissa Cash has given us this really clever sketch

and this one made me think...

well I recently purchased the clearly GKD set "Under the Sea" by Theresa Momber (thrilled that we can get GKD in the clear!!!) and then just had a blast...
made my own sea background by stamping on the card base using Memento's Teal Zeal and adding some white...but my fav part is the "water" behind the turtle - that is from a scrap that I had made with the Shaving Cream Technique forever ago.....love those scraps!
stamped the seaweed stuff on it...paper pieced my turtle and Voila!
 my Under the Sea ...
Designer paper is from stash (I think K& Co) and used Spellbinder's Beaded Squares.
Colored my turtle with Copics YG 03, 91, 95 and adhered him with pop dots.
stash ribbon ( the card base is Turquoise and there is no cream colored cardstock - that is just the background for photo)

hope you like - i really had fun creating this!
now
...if you want to start the hop at the beginning, just pop over to STV! If you are following the hop, you should have come from the super talented blog of Kay Simmons .... and your next stop is over to our own sketch designer Melissa Cash ...
Make sure to leave a comment as you hop along because on Tuesday morning (July 17), we will randomly choose one of the comments from all the blogs and that person will receive a huge grab bag of fabulous Gina K. Designs Stamps!

Enjoy the Hop!
hugs,

Update on our week at the Wilds

First, thank you so much for all the prayers and well wishes...two of our young people accepted Christ as their Savior and almost all of them have made commitments to live a closer daily walk with Him. Tonight are the closing ceremonies and we pull out of here at 6am in the morning. It has lightly rained almost every day with the hard rain happening while we were sleeping. A true blessing, it broke that horrible heat wave and wasn't so bad that any of the activities were cancelled. I have made the 106 stair climb (which is almost a straight up hill climb) every day, but today is our last day and I still haven't done it without stopping....just thankful I'm doing it LOL You know we've been busy when I never made it to the Craft Shop ....no stamping there, but the ladies that have gone made beautiful earrings! We (chaperone trip only) thoroughly enjoyed touring the Biltmore ....cannot even begin to really imagine the life they had there...flipped me out that they had a huge indoor pool, 9 ft deep at one end. But since this was before chlorine, they had to empty that 70,000 gallon pool each time there was a change from male to female swimmers....amazing! 250 rooms and we saw about 40 on the tour. My hubby loves the mountains so he has been up and out walking and taking trails each morning around 5 or 5:30 ...in the rain! This camp is truly amazing. They said there are 1500 of us here, with 1200 being campers. The preaching at both the Junior Boot Camp and Teen Activity Center has been amazing...this place is so well run ...wonderful Senior staff but the young people working here ...they are a true inspiration. Well I've gotta get... We are trying to split our time between Juniors (at one end of camp) and the Teens (at the lower end of camp....with those killer stairs!) ....really hate to see the week end...sure flew by! Hugs,

Copic/Pro Marker Challenge at the Outlawz

Hi there (-:
This week,  the Friday's Copic/Promarker Design Team at the Outlawz challenges you to create...with a Christmas theme!

Our sponsor for the month of July is Dilly Beans .
They gave us each a digital image so I chose their Stitched Snowman for this challenge.
The image had a primitive or vintage feel to me....found this stash dp that had branches kinda like his stick arms ...and this little ornament was in my Christmas stash box!
the ribbon is retired from Stampin Up (i think it was called Cranberry but don't hold me to it) and the base card stock is from Marks Finest Paper called Masonary Red....i like that its more of a brown red and matches Ranger's Distress Rusty Hinge perfectly...

We are ending up the week with the juniors/teens at camp this week...
hoping blogger posted this!

hugs,
