a "lake" memory

This card is for the the Stampin Sisters in Christ #2 challenge. It was to a make a card for your husband/significant other (or, if you are not married or dating, a loved one of your choice that you would like to show your appreciation to) to show them how much you love them AND give it to them.

My husband will like this card - when we were dating (umpteen thousand years ago), he took me with him out on a lake in a friends cute little boat. So romantic - he fished and I was stretched out all comfy reading - like out of a movie. It really was! He promised that he would always take me with him!

Well, I'm sure you ladies that have been married for some time already know where I'm going here.....he never took me with him again.
Oh! he took me fishing, left me on the beach! ... while he waded down the river away from me to fish....so when I got lonely...what he didnt know is that I am an excellent floater.... I just got in that river and floated all the way to him! He was so surprised to see me coming - only problem was that the current in the center of the river was faster than I thought and he didn't stop fishing to catch me as I went "floating"by and I couldnt swim because I had "romantically" floated on my back with sodas for us both on my stomach! thought I could turn myself around and just float back to him but couldn't - Hey, it didnt take long when I realized how fast the current was... to ditch those sodas and swim to the bank. As I now stormed through the woods, walking back to where it all began...I pass my husband, the bank I'm on is about 40' higher than where he is and he's still happily fishin and he looks up, big smile and waves to me! oh man....believe me - I didnt wave back :)....

After all these years, we really do laugh together about that day ....last time I even went fishing with him. Trust me, I didn't miss it one bit....

Stamps: Gina K's Eclectic Sumer, Signs of Autumn and Inspiration Mosaic
Paper: SU's pumpkin, night of navy, white

and that is true! I can't imagine my life without him.....

This is breathtakingly GORGEOUS!! Love the fabulous scene you created here =0) OH, even MY hubby would absolutely love this! He loves to fish and hunt... and although I've tried each of those at least once, it's not for me! LOL. I'm sure he wishes we could do those things together. I would gladly sit on the beach and crochet or read etc. LOL

Thanks so much for playing in our challenge this week! =0) Have a lovely day!
