BIGGGG BOW!

This card is for the Just Magnolia Week 20 Challenge - Ribbon and Bows. I bought this wire ribbon in the $1 bin at Michael's. The picture doesn't show it well, but it's a gorgeous blue with silver glitter...one of those "eye catching" ribbons...where you see beautiful winter cards, gorgeous Spring creations, etc etc etc! ....thought I'd hit the ribbon jackpot!

NOT....do not buy this ribbon! the glitter comes off the minute you touch it (well, slight exaggeration)...imagine tying a bow with it! I was covered in glitter...look closely and you can see it missing on the bow!
But what was I going to do...I based my whole card around it! hence, the bow tie instead of the glorious creation I had imagined....card over! but its going in that challenge!!! LOL

The rest of the card was fun! I actually tackled the Copic air brush! The nesties background is done with the air brush and Copic B12!....not too bad! The background paper is a scrap blue.... there is glitter gold pen in the flowers that Tilda is holding but it doesn't show well....

all because of that stupid bow!

oh well, we dont always love them all do we???? isn't it sometimes just the "call of the challenge"... LOL

Poor Linda! I feel for you! The frustration one little thing can cause when you have it all planned out in your mind and when you get to it Bang! No matter how you work at it, it insists on giving you a hard time. No Matter! This card is adorable and certainly worthy of going into a challenge! May this day bring you many little moments of creative joy! LOL

Oh Linda! You are such a hoot! I have dealt with the same ribbon I think! Except I was using it at church to decorate and glitter is still being swept up!! Wonderful card and great coloring! Even with that beautiful bow! Blessings to you!

If you hadn't mentioned the glitter bow trauma, I'd have never known!! It's a beautiful card!!! Great idea to use the nesties when doing an airbrushed background to give it a look of another layer!!

I have the Copic air adapter and D60 air - my cans run out so fast!! Are you using cans or a compressor?

I love your card.Looks great!I know the frustration of a card not coming out the way you wanted it to though. That's the story of my life. I made one this weekend for a certain friend of ours that had a 37th birtday but it stunk, so I didn't give it.
