Sugar Creek Hollow's "trash to treasure" challenge entry #2

hi there!
yes, this is entry #2 (-:
checkout the candy from Sugar Creek Hollow - see that Cricut over on my sidebar?  oh yeah!...I'm so seriously going to get as many entries in as I can....3 per week! WHO doesnt want to win one of these babies!!

now this is a really quick card....and I'm not telling you what my "trash" is...can you figure it out?

this "trash to treasure" is really fun!
anyway....i was trying Selma's tutorial on doing a snow background and failed ...
(had lightly inked glossy cardstock with Ranger's Spun Sugar, stamped background trees with versamark and then sponged card again with Ranger's Victorian Velvet, heat set, then white embossed tree, misted with water..nothing happened)...
but not wanting to ditch my attempt..i kept going - stamped a miniature script stamp (from SU but separated from set so I dont know which one) on the opposite side of the white embossed tree (from SU's Lovely as a Tree) and then from the Layers of Colors Christmas Blessing set, used their Post Card and postage stamps in upper corner...matted onto white cardstock, made my photo corners, added my scrunched seam binding, matted onto Cranberry cardstock with lace on the side...
whew!
and NOW took my trash - and with black Stazon stamped the sentiment (from Amuse Art Stamps)
onto......drumroll please! ....

one of the sections that come in the white craft boxes to make your dividers!!

still have one more left to use at another time! added my button with the seam binding coming through it... DONE!  not a beautiful card but it is vintage....and it meets the challenge!

ok, so that's TWO entries into the drawing - have one more coming later this week (-:
I would encourage you to play but then WHY would I want to lower my chances KWIM - LOL !!!

hope you know I'm kidding - the more the merrier and  best of luck to everyone (-:
hugs,

You are too funny....love the embossed tree and the vintage postcard look that you achieved. I never use all of my inserts and this is so creative to use it with your card. That is a gorgeous color in your seam binding! Thanks for entering again at Sugar Creek Hollow!

Love your 'trashy' card!!! It may not have worked out like you planned, but you pulled it off. Your trash portion, looked so familiar and I laughed when you revealed it.

Linda, this is just stunning! I love the scrunched seam binding and how you stamped the tree in between. Great use of "trash" too! Thanks so much for joining us for this week's Sugar Creek Hollow challenge!

Linda,
It amazes me the stuff you guys save. I would have never thought. I see on your card below you used an insert to Thanksgiving Garland. I'm seriously going to have to start looking at things different. I love cards and such creativity.
