B is for Blessing

Recently a friend posted a card over on STV using a background stamp from Stampin Up....it was so pretty! then I felt almost guilty... I must have at least 20+ background stamps and never use them anymore....and these are just the ones I'm counting from Stampin Up! Why did we stop using them???....I'm guessing it's all the beautiful designer paper available now...Back then, we used our backgrounds stamps to make our backgrounds...what a cool idea (snark snark!!)..... so here is my stamped background....

This card is done for a friend who wanted a lavendar card using the sketch from Vicki over on STV, kept it monochromatic and very simple, quick and easy.

Well, I have to say I miss the dp! but then again, could have stamped something on the blank side of the card (why do large blank spaces drive me nuts??)....will have to dig out some of those stamps and start using them....maybe.....
anybody want to join me in the "rivival of the background stamp"  LOL

So, how many background stamps ( the big ones) do you have stored away?
heeeeheeeeheee don't be shy, I told (-: so please don't let me be all alone ...(hey, and then there are all those roller stamps that I just had to have......need to pull them out too!)

Have a blessed day,

Really pretty card Linda. I have quite a few of those SU background stamps. I agree we need a revival of them.

Ahh, sweet card Linda! Yep, I just counted 15 background stamps...sad, just sad....and I have probably sold or traded at least 8 :o((( I remember way back when...when we had to MAKE our own patterns on cardstock, my goodness....the young crafters nowadays have it easy... :o))) I happily concede to the power of patterned paper! LOVE it! ROFLMBO!

As far as rollers...why did I buy so many? I never used them much at all. Need to see about unloading those too!

Linda, very pretty card, sad to say I don't have any back ground stamps, only started card making just over 12 months ago, and I'm really into dp. But I might just have to invest in one or two just to have them (LOL)

Hi Linda,
This card is lovely. I love the colour and the background is fabulous. Well I can be smug (being a relatively new crafter) I don't have any background stamps or roller stamps. I do have background images for the image panels and I use them but none that would replace papers. I could always by some of course.Lol.
Hugs,
Fiona x
