answering a friend's call LOL

received phone call very early this morning from a friend in "dire need" of a birthday card - and she would be by to pick it up in "about half hour" AND she wanted this particular stamp AND she wanted me to make it "shiny"...she is a very particular friend LOL! soooooo....ok! I can do that....getting out my stuff, thought I heard something....turned around in my craft chair and there she was! about gave me a heart attack.....she had tried our patio door and I hadn't locked it when I stepped outside earlier !
so she immediately...was all "up" in my craft room around me...going through my paper and stamps....Ohhhhhhh I was praying....she's in a hurry hurry hurry!!! I was taking too long coordinating dp for her card.....
so she grabs this white piece of paper that you see and LOVED it for the background (I wanted to bust out laughin because what she grabbed was my blotting paper when I'm sponging....but hey! it's what she wanted, so I actually added some more green...stamped this image, watercolored it very quickly, versamark and clear ep (that's her "shiny")....grabbed my scallop punch and using scraps, made the mat for the sentiment!  she wanted to see how the MS loop punch worked and so I added the border - then she wanted some bling ribbon, so grabbed this piece from stash.....she loved it....I grabbed my camera, clicked a picture and then she literally took it from my hand and left....with ....have a great day!!!

WHEW...all this in my little 3 x 3 space that I sit to make my cards! so here is the only picture I have....posting this because later in the day I started with chills, runny nose.....yep! I'm sick....but it's all goood....I'm on vacation :))) took medicine and slept most of day...now can't sleep so doing this post...then getting more meds and back to bed!

anyway...it's definitely true..."beauty is in the eye of the beholder"...I couldnt believe she was so happy with it!  that was my blotting paper!!!!

have a blessed day!

What a way to spend your vacation! When every thing is said and done, being sick is never fun! I love that sentiment hehe, your card is gorgeous! I can't believe the card base, see how talented you are, even your scraps look good!

LOL! What a funny story! Glad you were able to make your friend happy! Hey, you never know...I did a challenge one time to use toilet paper and everyone seemed to like it. So blotting paper sounds normal compared to that! LOL!
