Sugar Creek Hollow

Hi there!
Welcome to another Sensational Saturday at Sugar Creek Hollow. This week we want you to make a vintage or shabby chic project ...with the theme...

VINTAGE TEXT OR SENTIMENT

perfect time for me to pull out some vintage images I've hung onto...wish I could give credit to where they came from but they were in my stash box and I have no idea ...

the sentiment stamp is from Inkadinkado!
easy peasy card with just some sponging in edges...

Do you remember when gas stations looked like this
AND the waitress wrote your order out on one of these?
we used to love to go with my Pa-Paw to get gas, while he was pumping and cleaning windows, and visiting, etc he would let us go in and sit at the counter - usually to get a Coke but every once in awhile he would spring for some french fries or a sundae....man I'm old LOL

actually I still these guest checks from time-to-time

Hope you get to join us (-:

off to finish getting ready for some ladies from church,
we are going to make the Christmas cards here today for the missionaries we support...
doing it early because it's too hard to get so many of us together when it gets closer to holiday season

hugs,

Isn't fun to remember those times? You are so not old! We are some seasoned chicks, is all. This card surly made me smile.

Linda, this is gorgeous! Love that collage and bow! Actually, it does bring back memories for me, too! I am older than dirt, so I guess I should remember these things. :^)

Hi Linda! I haven't visited in awhile, sorry! But I wanted to tell you I love this card! Probably because I love road trips...but this image, the sentiment, the receipts, all wonderful!

With the exception of "Cafe" -- this could be a photo of my dad's gas station! Yep, my very first job at 14! :) Great vintage letters~

So cute, love the vintageness. (my own word) It makes me want to go to an old time hamburger joint and have someone put a tray on the window and take my order on roller skates.

OMGosh! I absolutely adore this card! This brings back sooooo many happy memories. Wish I had some of that paper. One of my best friend's father used to own a "filling station" and this was the service that was provided. I love your creations. I found you through LeAnne at Wee Inklings, whose work I love. TFS!
