CSS Alumni October Blog Hop

Hi there
it's that time of the month again when the STV Center Stage Alumni brings you a Hop and YOU have the chance to win a huge grab bag of fabulous Gina K. Designs stamps... oh yeahhhhh

For this month's Hop, our awesome team mate  Melissa Cash has given us this beautiful sketch for our hop

Hopefully you came from the awesome blog of Kay Simmons ....and if you want to start the hop at the beginning...just pop over to STV and you will have the lineup of designers participating this month.

With permission from GKD, I had fun making these images into digital images and then resizing, printing and cutting them with my Cameo...WHY you ask?  Just because it's fun! AND no more fussy cutting!
(remember to ask permission first from the owner of any stamp before you make it into a digital image!)

this first card I made the oval very small and enlarged the flower. Supplies from GKD are cardstock - Wine, pattern paper - Sundance, ribbon -pumpkin mango striped. Colored with Copics E08, 13, 93, YG63, G82, Memento Black and Rhubarb and added Stickles to flower centers

this second card is the actual size of the stamp printed onto designer paper. I enlarged the background mat instead (wanted it bigger than the die set offered), cut my designer paper with decorative scissors, colored with Copics YG17,G43, V04 and sentiment stamped with Memento's Grape Jelly...stash ribbon, viva pearl pen

this last card I really enlarged the oval (no die needed!) and made the butterfly a little larger also....its colored with pencils, background is stamped with VersaMark and edge sponging also done with Versamark...added ribbon and viva pearl pen pearls, some white gel pen accents and done!

As you can tell, I love this sketch from Melissa! It really makes a beautiful card and these were done so quickly...

Now off to the sweet and spectacular blog of Melissa Cash ....

Reminder: Make sure to leave a comment as you hop along because on Tuesday morning (October 30), we will randomly choose one of the comments from all the blogs and that person will receive a huge grab bag of fabulous Gina K. Designs Stamps!

Hope you enjoy the hop and gained some inspiration...enjoy this sketch!
hugs,

Absolutely beautiful cards!! Thanks for the kind words you left on my blog...you just never know maybe one day I will do a cookbook! But for now I'll be starting up a new recipe blog so you will have lots of inspiration! I'm so happy to hear someone is making and enjoying the recipes I share! :) Also, I wanted to mention the house we sold isn't the one your probably thinking of...the pics I posted in the past have been of the house we are building. We have spent almost 4 years on it so far! But we do all the work ourselves so it seems to take FOREVER! LOL! Okay, I best get going...laundry isn't going to finish itself and I have a new muffin recipe I'm trying out! Keep your eyes peeled for my new blog! :) Hugs!

Beautiful cards. Excellent execution of the card sketch. The 3 strips blended well in the background for each card.

All three cards are beautiful. On the second one, I like how you cut the background paper into 4 pieces and spaced them out to create the 3lines across the card (as per the sketch layout requirement). A simple but clever idea.
