Sugar Creek Hollow Challenge

Hello,
Welcome to another Sensational Saturday at Sugar Creek Hollow . This week we want you to make vintage, shabby chic or primitive cards using...your punches and/ or die cuts...

I broke out one of the first packs of Spellbinders that I purchased when they first came out...
Classic Squares

what a dumb purchase! I CAN handle cutting square cardstock  LOL ...purchase made at a craft show and I'm blaming peer pressure buyin...ROFLOL ... i think it was a buy 2 and get third free...STILL ...what a dumb choice to pick squares (at least for me) had I only known that in no time there would be a TON of gorgeous dies to chose from!
now wondering if my peers use theirs....hmmmmmmm

well, here you go - properly matted with my square Spellbinders

This was made with image from our wonderful sponsor this week... Sassy Cheryl's...she has so many adorable images! (sentiment from Studio G)
This week's winner will receive a $5 gift certificate to shop at Sassy Cheryl's.

Check out Sugar Creek Hollow's Design Team - just goes to show you can make
CUTE into vintage (-:
I had a hard time but the rest of the team nailed it!

hugs,

Also, pop over and check out the Design Team call for Sugar Creek Hollow! If you love vintage, we would love to hear from you.....

Your card is so cute Linda. I always love your coloring. I love to use my square Spellbinders because you get that embossed edge when you run them through the second time. Love how it gives a more "polished" edge. But you are right - it is amazing how many new dies have come out since we made those first purchases!!!!

I think that when Nesties first hit the scene, we were so excited that someone wanted to make things easy for us, that we did not think they would last. Thus, we needed each and every one!

This is one sweet image!

We had a great day, beautiful weather and good friends and we shot with a really nice man traveling through that is from Michigan...always nice to make new friends.

You're so right. Cheryl's images are just fun, but you've turned the image into a fabulous card. Your coloring is as always wonderful.

This is adorable Linda. Love your coloring as usual. I still like the square nesties, cause you can emboss the edges, a definite necessity, lol (haha trying to justify them, when I know like you said I could just cut a square)! Beautifully done and you have the shabby chic/ vintage feel down perfectly!

I like it a lot, it's vintage looking to me girlfriend! I laughed at your die story, I purchased 2 large square punches in the beginning of my paper crafting journey. Ha, ha, I've used them a handful of times. Live and learn, right? Hugs~Lori

Sassy Cheryl image is just adorable. I used my classic square a lot, they work nice for matting or making frames for your cards. Your coloring is awesome and a wonderful layout. Love hope you did the background.
