Wild at Heart

hello - hope your weekend is going well (-:

I havent worked with a "background" stamp for so long. I have *cough * cough...let's just say "many"...especially since I was a Stampin Up Demo...but with the coming of all the gorgeous designer papers - using my BG stamps has fallen away to practically nothing...
soooooo
along comes GKD's new set Wild at Heart by Melanie!

and now my brain is scrambling....surely I havent forgotten how to use them! So I have a personal challenge to create 10 different cards with this set. I've previously posted one .. so today have added two more - both of these are for challenges over at STV.

this is for the Color Challenge from our new hostess Janice!

stamped this three times - once using red ink stamped onto GKD's Kraft cs, then again using red ink stamped onto GKD's Lemon Drop cs and last used Vivid's Straw stamped onto white cs. Cut and pasted my pieces onto the stamped Inspiration Mosaic (also by Melanie). Sentiments stamped with Vivid's Coffee and are matted with the cardstock base GKD's Chocolate. Also used GKD's Red Rocket for a layer. Added some glitter with pen and gingham ribbon (oh and a little shadowing with Copic E31)

and this is for the Sketch Challenge from Vicki!
Background is embossed and you can see how I did the rest - used GKD's Rocket Red and black cs and I think the dp is from SU....

For more inspiration with this set, pop over to
Melanie's blog at    http://melaniemuenchinger.blogspot.com/ . She has so many tips...
and be sure to visit her Guest Designer, Mary Anne at http://lakesidestamping.blogspot.com/  knock out cards with this set
and check out the gallery at STV showing more gorgeous creations achieved with this set...

I'm pretty sure you can still use bg stamps, Linda!!! These 2 cards are gorgeous. Great idea to mix it all up with the Inspiration Mosaic stamp, looks really cool. The second card is yummy looking, so very rich.

These are both lovely. I hear ya' about those background stamps, mine are collecting dust. That first card really uses it in a new way (to me). Love the way you stamped multiple times and layered, looks great. Can't wait to see the next seven!

Love it Linda! I was thinking about using the Wild at Heart frame for this color challenge with kind of a layering effect too, but hadn't gotten around to it! Should have known you'd incorporate the mosaic also, great idea!! it is just beautiful, fabulous design!

Hey Linda! Beautiful background cards---I love this stamp! And what a great job you did!
Good luck to you tomorrow too on Heartfelt---what did you do for them? Mine was the cardinal and snowflake. I wasn't real happy w/ the snowflake but felt the cardinal turned out pretty good. Who knows???
