Fire Cracker Designs by Pamela and Paper Temptress Blog Hop!!

The official start time of this Hop is Friday, at 8:00 AM (EST). If you arrived early, please be patient as all the links may not be live yet.

This is a “circular blog hop” where the only beginning is wherever you start!! You will know you are at the end of your blog hop when you’ve come back to the blog you’ve started from! (It’s not a huge circle…so it should be easy to remember where you started.)
The winner will be chosen from a mystery blog hostess that we don’t even know who it will be until the hop is over…so that’s why you’ll want to leave a comment on EVERY blog, so you don’t miss out!

**To find out if you’ve won the BLOG CANDY!! (which is a free stamp set, Pam's choice OR you choose 2 free digis!!) … you will be contacted by Pamela via e-mail (so be sure to leave it with your comment.) and you can also find out on Fire Cracker Designs by Pamela's blog after the blog hop ends on Mon, at 8:00 PM (EST).**

The theme of the hop is.. Open Roads aka  road trips! Road trips are all about the tunes, right? So we were challenged to create something based on tunes we like to hear when we're on the road!

I'm Guest Designing the FCD set "Escape the Daily Grind"....so for my tune, I chose

Java Jive by the Manhattan Transfer grab your cup and kick back and enjoy this little "java" video  LOL!

fun tune! and trust me....on the road requires COFFEE!

Here's my "his n her's"...on the road....mugs! my DH loves the mountains so that's where we would be headed!

Being on the DT this month, allowed me to participate in FCDesigns joining with Paper Temptress. The cardstock used on this card is all from Paper Temptress except the very light blueT! I'm especially lovin the gold - cant really tell in the pic - but it is really sparkly! Their cardstock used here is:   Gold Sparkle, Corrugated Chocolate, Blue Basis and Canyon Brown Skinny Columns.
The road scene I created is colored with Copics: YG 91, 93,99 and E33, Y29, and C5,7. The sky is done with Memento's Summer Sky. Paper pieced the mugs from scraps of Webster's and Basic Grey!

There you go!  what's your fav "road trip" tune!!! actually, I really love all the oldies (for me that's the 60-80's)  back then you could understand the words!! LOL

Now, to continue the circle, you will need to hop on over to CAT's BLOG

and keep going until you’ve come back to where you’ve started! Thanks so much for playing along with us and we hope you have a great time!

The Four Seasons and The Beach Boys keep me rocking (and awake) as I head down the highway!! And since I don't drink coffee, my drink of choice is Pepsi. Oh, and a roll of SweetTarts is a must for the road trip too!

I LOVE this, Cathy!! I love how you put the two jumbo cups of java right in the middle of the road - as if they are the vehicle that is really driving you forward! I can so relate!! :o) Awesome take on this challenge - and thos are rockin paper choices, too!

Hi Linda,
Another great card. I love the colours and the theme is perfect since William and I are drinking our morning cuppa just now.
Your comment made me laugh - I wish I could run the length of the room never mind a marathon.
Hugs,

Really cute card, and a must have for the open road! COFFEE! (only I have to put enough sugar, cream, and chocolate in it to take away the coffee taste LOL). I'm usually drinking a diet coke while on the road, and I do love a good road trip. Thanks for the inspiration for a really cute card!

Terrific! Our road trip is to the mountains, too. When the kids were little and went on vacation with us we would sing songs from Footloose, we would sing the Eagles songs, even Meatloaf had a part in our road singing! Love coffee and love how your cups turned out. Thank you so much for sharing with us.

Oh, my goodness! The late 50's - 60's in Memphis with THE KING (Elvis, of course & in person) dragging Main Street, radios blasting, sailors from Millington Naval Base, the Cotton
Carnival, the REAL Beale Street,Ike & Tina in person! I still cherish those 45's & 33-1/3's and play them still on my 1962 Magnavox - Wow,
what a sound! Thanks for bringing up the good stuff! Nelda in TN. nelda mc765 @ charter.net
