Stamp TV's CSS Alumni Blog Hop

This month the CSS Alumni were given a photo inspiration challenge brought to us courtesy of Karen - thanks Karen!  Isn't this pic fabulous!!!

Now you should have arrived here from  Melissa's awesome's blog....if you missed starting at the beginning, pop over to STV and begin the hop from there. You don't want to miss any of the blogs and make sure to leave a comment as you hop along because on Tuesday morning (February 14) the randomly chosen comment from all the blogs will win a HUGE GRAB BAG of fabulous Gina K Designs Stamps!

For this first card I went with the gorgeous colors in the inspiration photo using the new GKD set "Dogwood and Butterfly" by Theresa Momber

supplies:
cardstock: GKD's Sand, Cranberry Tart, Green Apple, white and SU's Not Quite Navy
ink:  Memento Black, Rhubarb Stalk, Ranger's Distress - Faded Jeans, Antinque Linen
Copic:  B00, 0000, 12...G24, 28...Y04
embellishments:  Cricut scallop cut mats, MS leaf punch, gold pen, stash ribbon

next card is done with  GKD's Inspiration Mosaic by Melanie Muenchinger (had it out from earlier stamping so was able to use the scraps from some recent cards)...again grabbing the colors but also the rectangle theme from the photo...for a masculine card!
i just realized my top mat is crooked - well don't I hate that! but its glued on there good - no pulling it off and fixing ...oh well, it will go to a male friend of ours who probably wont even notice (-:

supplies:
cardstock: scraps
ink: Memento Black, Ranger's Distress Rusty Hinge
Dry embossed with Cuttlebug Folder

Your next hop is over to KAY's  always elegant blog  .....

thanks for stopping and hope you enjoy our hop,
hugs
