CPS Sketch challenge

Hi there, well bummer! 3 day weekend is over and its back to work - but praise the Lord that I have work!
thoroughly enjoyed the time off - hope you did too!
now we are heading into an even hotter heat wave - wow - snow of the century and now heat of the century!

created this card for the

this is my first card using the Just Rite stamps - recently went to a craft show and bought their set " Plant a Little Love" and the wood holder. Love what cyber friend and STV DT Alumni Selma Stevenson  does with these stamps (and check out her vellum and crepe paper flower tutorial)... I need a lot of practice in making these flowers!!!
Used all scrap paper on this card (and several others you'll see this week)...some from Basic Grey, Webster's, SU and pieces of vellum. Colored with Copics BV01,08, G63, 67

try to stay cool - I'm an AC addict myself LOL

Your card is gorgeous Linda. I am so happy you like making the flowers. You say you need more practice but you don't. If you want your flower petals to "stand up", you need to push them down into the thick mouse pad to get them to hold shape. I use a Pergamano embossing pad you can get from Jerri here
http://jerrikay.blogs.splitcoaststampers.com/bridal-collection-product-page/

If you do this with each petal prior to adding glue to the tip then push it down in the mat with the stylus again for about 10 seconds to let the glue dry and continue this with each petal as you build, it creates the "fluffy" look. The trick is to really push it down into the mat to form the flower. It really goes pretty fast once you get the hang of it. Let me know if you need more help.

I always love your work.

Linda, love this...your flowers are great. I have been looking at Justrite--will have to talk about it when we get together week after next.
