Selma Stevenson's "Blast from the Past" challenge over on STV incorporates these tutorials. I love this because there are so many techniques I may have done only once...or still havent tried them! This week's challenge was to make your own "wood grain" background...don't know why I havent practiced this ....can always use wood backgrounds - especially on those "man" cards. This is a technique I'm going to keep working on - I did mine below going step-by-step according to Gina's toot! except I did smaller scores - wish I had listened and done same measurements she provided....
you can see I had trouble with the horizontal scores! I colored the basket to try and match the wood panel.
The flowers were colored and then Flower Soft was added. Image is raised on card.
If you go over to this challenge on STV - you will see Selma's and Geri's cards, both have done perfect wood panels! I'm going to keep working and nail this technique!

This is a great technique that I haven't tried yet. (Just admired it from afar :) but you're right, Gina K does a wonderful job on her videos on Stamp TV. beautiful card :)

Yet another string to your bow - you are game for anything aren't you. I think you have made a fantastic job of this technique, especially it being your first attempt. The flowers are so real looking - the flower soft is a fabulous touch. I love it.

What?! You have to practice more? You are a crazy lady. Your wood is wonderful as well as all the other things like the bow, the basket, the flowers. I have not tried this technique but it looks like a good one.

Gorgeous! Love how your background goes with the basket and how cheery those pink flowers are. I'll have to add that technique to my "must try" list. :)
