Can you believe it!!!  somebody pinch me!!!
and look at this stamp set.....I've been making cards with it since receiving it!

what a designer! Pop over to her blog to see the most gorgeous creations with this set....
she made a candle....that...wellllll, just go look   LOL
Couldnt wait to share some of my cards, here we go....

just your typical black and gold Christmas card  LOL....

sorry the poinsettias look so orangey here, they aren't..but I wore myself out trying to get a picture that would show both the embossed background and the flowers well in the same pic...maybe next summer DH will send me to a photography class :)

this one was in the release party last night...the little "puff balls" are glittery, another photo challenge!

this one is by stamping all  onto Basic Grey "Wassail" paper - poinsettias are stamped onto the  reddish dp and the stamp itself is on the greenish dp with the background mat also from same pack - all matted onto GinaK's Cranberry cardstock (which I love)

NEXT IS THE ONE I COULDNT WAIT TO GET TO  big smile here!!!

This is my youngest grandaughter Lily - taken this past Easter.  I don't scrapbook, but I will be making one for each of my grankids to go in a  frame! will color to match their clothes...

hope you enjoyed these...be prepared!  I have a TON more!!!!just knocking out the Christmas cards now!!!

Won't be posting anything else this weekend (maybe late Sunday night)....I really really need to clean and maybe do some laundry which I think I have procrastinated about long enough....oh well, it will feel good when I get these "priorites" caught up....oh and a few groceries might help!

Have a fun and safe Halloween with your kids...
and a blessed weekend!

my button 3D Flower ...i think!

hi there, well....does this flower count as 3 -D?...I think so....it's not flat..!! LOL

but guess what!  I actually like this card :)  that may sound weird, but when I create my cards I'm always my worst critic...post 'em and hope someone will like them...
but once in a while, along comes a card that I look at and go...hey Wow! I really like this one!
and this is one of those (of course, now I'm hoping you will agree....where oh where is my self-confidence)

BLOG HOP for Creative Clear Stamps - 5 winners!!!!!

as promised...my cards for the hop are "Quick and Easy" aka QnE  lol....here we go!

sponged sentiment using Memento's Ruhbarb...ran cranberry tart cs from GinaK through cuttlebug, nestie cut and embossed sentiment, added ribbon....voila!!!  done...see QnE

cut All Spruced Up and Asparagus cs from Gina K, SU dp and used scrap of All Spruced Up and Basic Grey....assembled card onto All Spruced Up cs...then stamped tree from the Let It Snow set by Creative Clear Stamps, outlined it with SU markers, stamped sentiment onto white cs, used nestie to cut/emboss and then sponged SU Garden Green. Made a bow out of SU green grosgrain....used paper piercer to punch two little holes to run gold cord through and scotch taped the ends on the back...then added bow...done...few more steps...but still another QnE!!

cut cranberry and night of navy, ran cranberry through cuttlebug, highlighted some swirls with grey SU marker. have a postage stamp that I used (BUT you dont need the postage stamp) and inked the sentiment, did lighter background in caramel with a cute swirl stamp I have (matched the cuttlebug swirl) and stamped it again with caramel inked square stamp...cut them out and matted onto navy. Stamped the swirl stamp again on piece of scrap white in SU rose red and outlined with SU grey marker.  Assembled..and then used adhesive mini silver nail heads and randomly placed on card....again, didnt need the postage stamp - would have looked just as nice if two blocks had only been the rectangles...it's the decorative scissors that help!
anyway, took me almost as long to type this out as it did to make the card!!!!
another QnE one!!

Tip:    for those of you starting out, invest in good decorative and good cutting scissors...when I started I bought the super cheap ones but they stopped giving a clear cut very quickly...recommend Fiskars decorative scissors and CutterBee for everything else! just my opinion :)

"friend" award! thank you so much!

wasnt this sweet...two of my friends Patti and Mary Anne sent me this! they are so talented! and blessed with the gift of encouragement......even when I don't get to their blogs - they are there and always encouraging!

this award wants me tell you 5 things about myself:

1. Have been a commercial property manager for almost 30 years, but with all the traffic now - my commute is 1.5 hours one way to my main office (but a corporation owns the biggest property I manage and its 2.5 hrs  to that office, IF there are no accidents)  grrrrrrr...although I spend my driving time listening to Christian radio and daydreaming card layouts!so all-in-all...no complaints!
2. Four grankids - two live in NC and I try to see them at least every other month (girl 9 and boy 12) and then two that live half hour away (girl 2.5 and boy 9 months)....crazy crazy crazy over each of them!
3. I am so fat!!! and I hate it..but oh well! have lost the same 50-75 pounds at least 30 times! I know to you "tiny's" out there... you probably wonder how anyone could not keep it off once they've lost it....well.....I dont know either  LOL
4. my husband is very supportive of my crafts and its a good thing - because I take up one room in the house, half the shed outside the house and ...ohhhh...about a fourth of our garage!
5. try to teach the Bible to the women in our regional jail since 1992 and just starting to work with them after their release...this is such a blessing to me! I'm really not very good at it...but pray they see that Jesus changes lives!

ok, whew! enough about me....so I am passing this along to my friends who haven't received this award (some of you reading this already received it):
Stacie
Fiona
Randi
Theresa
Vicki

now, looking forward to knowing more about YOU!
have a blessed rest of the evening!

another holly card

hi there!       had made this late the other night...quick and easy!
Those are my "design words" for this week....and for those friends who have shared with me that they don't want to do a lot of detail....would like to see some easier cards!
I am super flattered that you are looking here for inspiration...thank you for all of your email...I can be a few days answering...and appreciate your patience :)

Those of you just starting your Christmas cards...will post more quick n easies to hopefully give you some ideas!  If this is your first year stamping your cards, just try to pace yourself. Everyone goes about doing their cards differently.  I know the number I like to have done and do 4 different designs so I don't get bored doing same card...I use the assembly method - will stamp what I need for those 25...go ahead and cut all my paper and do my background mats (usually I mat my cards)...then color images while watching (really just listening) something on TV with DH.  Then enjoy putting them all together....I wouldn't try to do anything to complicated for your first year - keep it "quick n easy" ....the joy is in the making and then the giving!!!

night scene - trees in snow

hi there, thanks for poppin in...
here's another card with Gina K's "A Very Merry Christmas" by Theresa Momber

love this set! still haven't decided on what card designs I will be doing this year...waiting on the new releases from Gina K to decide!!! Usually make about 100 cards to send so I do 25 of each design...goes quicker that way for me!

this one is a little different - made the background then embossed the tree on the grey cardstock and paper pieced (actually had embossed a tree directly on the card but didnt like it)  - added white highlights and white flower soft...which didnt photo well on the grey...but so pretty IRL.

Stamp: A Very Merry Christmas and a 1995 PSX tree scene (no name)
Paper: GinaK's navy, fog, white
Ink: SU bashful blue, night of navy, Memento's London Fog
Embellishment: White flower soft, GinaK ribbon from Holiday Cheer STV kit, white highlight pen
Technique: sponging, embossing, paper piecing

See ya on Monday!
Have a blessed rest of the weekend!

PS  Candy is coming soon!!!! stay tuned  :)))

stamping on candles

The technique challenge at Stamp TV this week was to stamp candles!  This is a favorite of mine!...have no idea of how many candles I've stamped in the past!!!
Since I had everything pulled out...couldn't stamp just one!

Stamped candles are quick, easy and they make the best gifts year round!!!
I buy my candles from the $1 store...
Gina K at StampTV has the best video tutorial on how to do these....there are several methods, but she explains her method clearly as she is actually making her candle. It makes gorgeous candles!!

Stamps: GinaK's Holiday Cheer STV Kit, Winter Foliage and Autumn Beauty (by Theresa Momber)
Ink: Memento Black, Copics

I didnt emboss these (as Gina shows in her video)...I used Kleenex and colored very carefully so as not to tear the kleenex.

hope you get a chance to try it!
Have a blessed day,

PS  thank you for all the email asking for a tutorial on etching the glass plate....worked on it some today....very slow at taking pics as I go along :) and will post it hopefully by Thursday!

This one's for my grandaughter, Lily...she is 2.5 yrs old!  Went walking outside with her GranPa and brought me back this little, little twig.  When she came inside, all excited...with her little "for you, Maw-Maw!"..of course, I saved it!!
Well, had all 4 granchildren here this weekend and the house is quiet again....had Lily's little twig sitting on top my TV..so it is now on a card! I'm setting it on my shelf as a "keeper"....

Stamps:   Winter Foliage and Thanks a Million from GinaK and a little stamp from SU (but I don't know the set, use it for stars and snow)
Paper:  All Spruced Up from GinaK, sky blue and dp from SU
Ink: SU's Cocoa ,Choc Chip and Craft White, Memento Bamboo, Adirondack's Lettuce and Latte
Embellishments:
pines cones were stamped onto cardstock that was sponged with SU's Cocoa and Choc Chip, then added some gold glitter, the white on pine cone was done with white souffle pen!
(Jennie "the ink rises" LOL )

ribbon from STV's Holiday Cheer Stamp TV Kit

Snowmen n Scallops! oh my.....

This week at Creative Clear Stamps, we've been challenged to do a card with scallops! simple n easy!  but wait, one of our DT Members saw "scallops" in a turkey's tail....feathers! ... ok, the challenge bar was raised....how to think "outside the box" and see some scallops! (of course one DT Member has the cutest turkey with a "fro"...but that's another story!!) back to my scallops! looked at my stamp set...(Let It Snow from Creative Clear Stamps).....and looked....and looked...couldn't see a scallop............

so I just decided that everything I did on this card was going to be done with scallops! AND I wanted to share two different applications for snow...did you know that Puffy Paint would do the exact same thing as Liquid Applique...you did!!!!  wellllll, did you know that Liquid Applique would do the exact same thing then as Puffy Paint...hahahahaha  (hey all... it's like midnight here.. and I worked all day..)  SOOOO, if you did already know this...then stop reading and just scroll down to the finished card  LOL

But if you didn't, then maybe you will find this helpful....here goes!

These are the two items, check out the huge difference in size! hmmmmm, wonder which is the better deal??

here is my scallop card, ready to add the snow..glad I have a picture so you can see there really are scallops

adding the Liquid Applique

next step, is to heat set...you will see the snow rise as you apply the heat! don't get too close, will burn your snow....you don't want yellowed snow :)))))

next, applying the Puffy Paint

application is the same, you can see the Puffy paint is whiter! you can obtain the same thickness with the Liquid App by just applying more...you heat set the Puffy also

now, can you really tell a difference!!! mmmm, maybe - the PP is whiter (I think)

now here is my finished card!  I think they're making snow angels...

added some glitter AND stickles ....n

"Let It Snow"

NOW POP ON OVER TO CREATIVE CLEAR STAMPS and ENTER the SCALLOP CHALLENGE! where can YOU see scallops ... that the rest of the world doesn't .......LOL!!!

hope this was helpful to someone!
Have a blessed day,

WELCOME to the Blog Hop for Theresa's "A Very Merry Christmas"

Lovin these blog hops!!!  Will keep details short since there are a LOT of designers here tonight!! so wonderful, can't wait to pop around and see everything they've done !!!!

here we go!

paper pieced the trees!  and raised the corner of each tree - hard to tell their raised ....IRL - i love this one!!! used Theresa's digi paper for background and GKD's All Spruced Up...

this was my sneak peek!  If I thought glitter was hard to photograph....well that's nothing compared to trying to photo a clear plate!!!!  must have taken 2,000 pics...welllllll, it felt like it  LOL
I'm buying more $1 glass plates...and using this stamp set to etch...these will be my dessert dishes for the holidays! just need to find plates with more of a flat bottom...

(that's my darlin grandaughter in the background - she's my desktop on my computer)

"Silver Bells"
The background navy cardstock was embossed with the CB snowflake folder -doesnt show very well! and love those nesties!!! silver ribbon is from stash ....

something a little softer!!   CB folder, chalk, little clear glitter pen, paper pieced the holly and added a pop dot underneath to give some dimension and added my own GKD ribbon!!

Well, that's it for me!
