Fun Saturday!

Hi there

Finally had a Saturday off to PLAY! and here we are (-:
 piled into my dining room

we colored, colored, stamped, stamped, and laughed! and oh did we eat (-:

homemade soup, awesome chicken salad, delicious chocolate pie, coffee cake and went back for more!

just a wonderful day....

I stayed pretty close to the sketch itself.

use flourishes on your project - stamped, pearls, punch, dies...

I chose to stamp my flourish and added hand drawn dots then pearls...image is from (I think) Graphics Fairy. Enhanced the large rose with a touch of Copics RV 21 and 42.

This week the Friday's Copic/Promarker Design Team at the Outlawz challenges you to create with theme...

APRIL SHOWERS!

and WOW isn't that the truth! I have umbrellas stashed everywhere (-:

went to another image from Phindys Place (sure miss her!) called Spring Shower ...perfect for this theme!

Had fun layering...PLUS ...its helping me whittle down my stash. I am refusing to buy new until I make a serious dent in the old...KWIM!

I know the cardstock is from Stampin Up and pretty sure the designer paper is too.

Sentiment is from the Cottage Stamper (have had it for years)

My goal (besides her hair) was to color her robe to match the Dylusion Sprays...

need to work on that more (-:

Coloring hair can be intimidating...BUT it doesn't have to be! Practice and find your own style...

sometimes you may want to blend hair smooth...or add a streak of color...or keep lines to show movement. Pop over to CMC and check out the DT's inspirations for this challenge
