World Card Making Day

So how did you do! did you get to play?
I did this year and thoroughly enjoyed it...I stuck all day with Penny Black!
Had to laugh because even though I did enter their challenges...my Penny Black stamps are ANCIENT old! looks like I'll be spending some $$ LOL
The inspiration from the Design Team was absolutely amazing...
Here are my four entries into their sketch challenges

AND I got to enter the WCMD Challenge at STV which was to create Faux Layers!
Love this set by Therea Momber "Follow Your Dreams"

I'm still not done! working on a couple more that have a deadline for tomorrow and Tuesday...PHEW!

Hope you get to share your projects for WCMD
hugs

Oldie but Goodie Blog Hop

hi there, welcome to the Oldie But Good Blog Hop where
the theme is always to use supplies that haven't been used for 6 months or longer and this time we were asked to think about being thankful!
This hop is done by members of the Facebook Group the Designing Divas...you should have arrived from the awesome blog of  DIVA Sue Morris

since we had a theme for this blog hop of something we are thankful for... my inspiration came to me while I was spending time with my mother-in-law who is 90 and lives in Logan, West VA. She has a salt block in her backyard (which is right at the bottom of the mountain) and the deer just come right on up and enjoy themselves!
it's beautiful and I'm thankful for "nature" - God's creation is so beautiful !!

the deer in the clearing reminded me of this stamp I've had from Penny Black for soooooo long...couldnt wait to get home and make my card - love purple and sparkle...so here you go

used retired Stampin Up designer paper, Eggplant and Perfect Plum cardstock, SU ribbon, liquid applique and stickles for snow, colored with Prisma pencil Violet and Copic C2, Smooch illuminator, MS border punch....handwritten sentiment...done!

 hope you like...

now you're off to the super uber talented blog of  DIVA Cindy Johnsen Pec

have a beautiful day,

3 singing roosters - Penny Black Challenge

this was so fun to make! love this stamp!
fun and easy, quick card for the Penny Black Saturday Challenge.

Stamp: Penny Black's "Carolers"
Paper: do from stash, SU's red, black, white
Ink: Memento Black
Embellishments: ribbon from GinaK
Technique: embossing, matting, coloring with Copics

Tomorrow night 10pm CST/ 11pm EST - Blog Hop for GinaK's  "Festive Frame" set by Melanie!
See you tomorrow night,

PS if you live near the Sight n Sound Theatre in Lancaster, PA or in Branson, MO - go see the Miracle of Christmas...you won't be disappointed - I've never seen anywhere all the live special effects they do...simply amazing!
We drove the 4 hours up in a bus loaned to us by a sister church, ate at the Good n Plenty Amish restaurant (which was true to its name)...then to the theatre - play is about 2.5 hours with a 15 min intermission- then the drive home. It was such a blessing - there were 22 of us on the bus and we sang almost the whole way home...everything from hymns, Christmas, praise, worship, kids sunday school songs....and since most of us can't carry a tune...we were amazed how good we sounded  LOL...that bus had pretty good acoustics  (LOL, I'm sure only the Lord and our deaf tone ears enjoyed our singing)...hope we get to do it again in the Spring. Their production will be the story of Joseph!
