Sugar Creek Hollow

Good morning, again (-:
Second Post today (see post below if you looking for the STV challenge)

Welcome to another Sensational Saturday at Sugar Creek Hollow
This week we want you to make a vintage or shabby chic project ...with the theme...
Things with Wings
(birds, butterflys, bees, etc)

I am still enjoying the images I've used for my September projects for Sugar Creek Hollow using images from TJ Designs - this is one of their vintage bird images....and I added the butterflys

Base cardstock is SU's  Not Quite Navy and the butterfly flourish in the background is from Silhouette Cameo. Little butterflys are Martha Stewart punch, stash designer paper, touched up image with Copic Y08, E31, 35, 37, and bleach pen to remove a little color from front bird,  added ribbon and gold pearls using Viva Pear Pen.....
Hope you get to play along - love love to see what everyone creates...

OK, now that I've got my posts back up...
.going to recliner with my coffee and come visit ya (-:

Free for All Friday Challenge at Stamp TV

Good morning
Have two posts for you this morning...WHY?...because we lost our power late last night and when I came to check my blog this morning...both are gone! Not sure how or why that happened unless I did something wrong with auto posting. I love Blogger - it's free...but they switched me to the NEW blogger yesterday and it threw me a little...so....

FIRST POST TODAY

I'm hosting the
and the theme is FLOWERS!

Havent hosted a challenge in quite sometime and very happy to do so...My card was done using the color challenge from the CSSDT's September Hop (pumpkin spice, asparagus, corn) and the sets from GKD by Melanie Muenchinger - Stately Flowers 4 and Holiday Basket.

Copics used were E13, 35, 37, Y11, YR20, YG63, 67. Used a cuttlebug folder on one piece of the background, the other background piece is from GKD's paper pack Berries n Vines, ribbon from GKD and then final touch was gold stickles

Hope you get to play along, this challenge closes Oct 4 at 8pm CT (9 pm EST)
More details over on the challenge at STV .

Looking forward to seeing your flower creation., hugs .....

Heartfelt Creations September Alumni Hop

Hi there!
Well, it's the last Tuesday of the month, so that means the Heartfelt Creations Alumni Designers are having their monthly hop...our theme is always Anything Goes with our Heartfelt products!

Using the same stamp set  that I did in last month's hop (because this is one of the stamp sets I'll be using this year) It's HCPC3429- Wisemen Ornament PreCut Set.

My first card is also same layout from one last month, just trying to get a different "feel" for which card I will mass produce (by "mass" i mean about 25, that's about all I can take of same card before switching to another design)

This second card is vintage - I love vintage. Grabbed the music from clipart off the Internet - can hardly see the vellum flourish but it's pretty in real life (-:

Supplies used are at the bottom of my post...Now off to check out the awesome designers this month!!! They are:

and ME - but you're here already and know that! LOL

REMEMBER, to post comment on each blog as the randomly chosen winner is randomly chosen from one of our blogs! WINNER will receive $25 gift certificate to shop at Heartfelt Creations!!! Hop closes at midnight on September 28th and winner will be announced
by noon on Saturday the 29th!

Hope we have inspired you

Stamp TV's September CSS Alumni Blog Hop

Hi there
Welcome to a Color Combination challenge blog hop hosted by members of the Gina K.' CSS Alumni team. Today we are featuring hand drawn sets designed by Melanie Muenchinger and Theresa Momber .
As you hop along make sure to leave a comment because on Tuesday morning (September 25),
we will randomly choose two comments from all the blogs and two lucky individuals
will receive a Gina K. Designs Stamp set each
(the winners will receive either a set designed by Melanie Muenchinger or Theresa Momber).

For this month's Hop, our awesome team mate Sharri Seffens has given us this color combination:
Pumpkin Spice, Fresh Asparagus and Sweet Corn plus
neutral colors (white, ivory, black, and brown)
 are also fine to incorporate.

To be sure you are on track, you should be coming from blog of the  beautiful talent of Kay Simmons.

First up for me, is Theresa Momber's set "Under the Sea".
This month I decided to use some favorite techniques that I don't use often...and one is this first card - reverse masking! Using Spellbinders Classic Scalloped Squares I cut out the square and then set it over the card to sponge and stamp. Had stamped and masked my turtle...fun easy CAS card!

this is another simple card - paper pieced the fish  (i do paper piece a lot!)
aren't these fish wonderful!

next is my card using Melanie's Stately Flowers 4 (did you see her new release this month!...it's a must have!)and sentiment from Melanie's Holiday Basket. For this card I blocked and masked! almost forgot how to block and had to "think" LOL
colored with waterbrush and Memento's Potter Clay ink and finally caved in and had to use some Copics (Y08, YR31, YR02, RV42, E37, G99 - strange selection but I like it ok)
Now I was nervous stamping my sentiment directly in middle
and don't you just know I got it crooked!

Remember to leave a comment because on Tuesday morning (September 25),
we will randomly choose two comments from all the blogs and two lucky individuals
will receive a Gina K. Designs Stamp set each
(the winners will receive either a set designed by Melanie Muenchinger or Theresa Momber).
Next, you are off to awesome blog of Melissa Cash ..

Enjoy and hope you were inspired
hugs

AND got to use my most favorite lace trim
Card base is from GKD - Innocent Pink and Designer Paper is stash from Stampin Up.

Copic/Pro Marker Challenge at the Outlawz

This week, the Friday's Copic/Promarker Design Team at the Outlawz challenges you to create..
using the theme "elements" (air, earth, fire water, etc)

 well I chose Earth...actually farming!
Our sponsor this month is Kenny K who gave us each an image to work with and I chose this cutie pie called "Farmer's Daughter" .
the pumpkins are from GKD's set "Signs of Autumn"
The really cool thing for me is that EVERYTHING was cut out by my Silhouette Cameo!!
wooo hooo, so now I wont be buying any Fence dies
(silhouette has a ton available for only .99 each)
pumpkins were stamped on white card-stock, took pic, saved as digi...and voila!
cut out by the Cameo...I figured out how to line up the girl and pumpkins so they were cut out at same time...then used scraps for the sentiment and the fence...
Now there is a lot to learn with this machine but i think my intimidation is past and I'm looking forward to what all I can do with it...ok enough about me...

Hope to see you join our challenge
Hugs
oops, forgot my Copics. They were E00, 11, C3, 5, 9...B93,97...RV29, R20, Y23, 26, 32...YR04,9,18

Digi Doodle Shop 's Last Challenge #125 - Anything Goes

hello there,
Well this is the last challenge for our beloved Digi Doodle Shop Challenge.
Since this is our last challenge, both of the two Design Teams are joining together with the theme...
 ANYTHING GOES!
 AND
there are some great gift certificates to be won...
Digi Doodle Shop is giving away gift certificates to shop at their online store:
first prize - $15 gift certificate
second prize - $10 gift certificate
third prize - $5 gift certificate
This last challenge closes on Sept 26

For my last card, I used this funny image called   Cousin Jethro
Had to use it because "Jethro" is my husband's nickname...and yep, before he turned his life over to the Lord....that little brown jug used to have his name allllll over it (-:
however, my hubby is 6'4"...LOL
everything was cut with my Cameo!
now the pumpkins were just flat images so i added the lines and shading
my mat is still bigger than I want..but i forgot to adjust the setting - a learning curve ...must use memory!
sentiment is hand-written
Copics E02, 13, 31, 35, 49, 55, 57 ...Y28, YR15, C2, 5...B93, 95, 97
the background and things on the pumpkins are small unidentified stamps stamped with Memento-Cottage Ivy

I want to take this opportunity to thank Judy and "Mom" for inviting me to be on their DT
It has been a real pleasure...because their talent is amazing!
Will miss them but wishing them the best as they move on to other endeavors
thanks again,

Sugar Creek Hollow Challenge

Welcome to another Sensational Saturday at Sugar Creek Hollow
This week we want you to make a vintage or shabby chic project ...with the theme...
only use Fabric, no ribbon or lace
huh yep...that's what I said....whaaaatt!!!
but, isn't that why we like challenges..or it is just the prize?  hmmmmmm LOL

well I love a challenge so this one got me thinking...at first I was like.."well, I cant do this, no fabric!"  I have fabric from my sewing days but its all out in the shed (buried) and that was too much work to try and get to it....but when I was searching for a lost stamp, came across my little plastic box of fabric stash from when I made stuffed "country" kittens...
bingo! now I have fabric (-:

even pulled out the sewing machine for this one
stamped the pig onto muslin (sorry about the shadow dots, don't see them on my card) and colored pig with Copics RV23, R11. The background is glued to white card stock so the fabric glue wouldn't warp my card. Then adhered to red card
Stamped a pennant image onto the green checkered fabric, cut out and adhered to card.
Using stash strip of same fabric I sewed it onto card using the finger pushing "bunch-up" method (LOL, I'm sure that's a name for it somewhere!)

Ok, now your turn...what can you do with fabric?
hugs,

Pig from Artistic Outpost - Country Life
Sentiment from Inkadinkado
