the gorgeous lace background!

This is my second card created with my Cameo (my first one you will see next week)
 YEP, I love my Cameo

Now, hope you can join us over at the Outlawz (once you post an entry the first time, you'll find it's easier than the challenge rules sound) There are awesome prizes to win!

Heartfelt Creations Alumni Blog Hop

Hi there!
Well, it's the last Tuesday of the month, so that means the Heartfelt Creations Alumni Designers are having their monthly hop....and this is the shortest hop in history! Don't know what happened to our designers, we are thinking everyone is very busy getting back to school....

BUT that means the odds of you being chosen as the random winner from
one of our three blogs has triple quadrupled increased LOL

Please enjoy and comment on each of our blogs to increase your chance to be the chosen winner

DINA KOWAL
and ME!

for my card I chose to use the gorgeous HCPC 3429 Wisemen Ornament PreCut Set
I cased one of the cards from the design team that I fell in love with
when I saw it at the Charlotte NC craft show

look at the difference the angle of the photo makes - in the one below you can see the glitter and the Frost Shimmer Spritz from Tsukineko
Card stock is SU-Not QuiteNavy, Designer Paper from Graphics 45, stamped with SU-Not QuiteNavy and bleached out the top of the images, used Spellbinders -Elegant Posts, stash ribbon and liquid applique for snow and more sparkle with stickles!

since the hop is so short. I'm showing you one of the card designs I will be making this year - when you make about 150 cards at Christmas, the above cards are a little too time consuming to mass produce...The below card was done in FIFTEEN MINUTES!
now biggest reason that  it was so quick (besides being an easy card to create) was that I already knew exactly what paper, cardstock and layout I was using....
this is going to be great to use up (or try to anyway) the older Christmas designer paper in my stash.....

Blog Hop will remain open for comments on everyone's blog through midnight Friday night August 31st.
The winner will be posted here (and on the member's blogs who are able to post) by noon on Saturday, September 1st
The winner will receive a $25.00 gift certificate to shop at Heartfelt Creations!

hope you enjoy our little hop,

Stamp TV's August CSS Alumni Blog Hop

Hi there
it's that time of the month again when the STV Center Stage Alumni brings you a Hop and YOU have the chance to win a huge grab bag of fabulous Gina K. Designs stamps... oh yeahhhhh

For this month's Hop, our awesome team mate Geri Utterback has given us this beautiful inspiration photo
now as you're hopping ...you should have come from the wonderfully talented blog of Kay Simmons and if not, you can start at the beginning of the hop from STV.

For my first card, I chose to use Theresa Momber's set "Wild About You".
used the "direct to paper" technique for the sky...thinking I need to practice that more. Paper pieced the giraffe and used Viva Pearl Pen for my pearls. Cardstock is GKD's Wine and All Spruced Up".

My next two cards are going to the family of Barb Colbert who passed away earlier this month. Barb and I were on Marks Finest Paper Design Team together. She was such a sweet lady and we became good cyber buddies. I last heard from Barb two weeks before she went home to the Lord. Her outlook was positive and she felt confident she would not be in the Rehab section of the hospital too very long....My heart goes out to her brother and family and her niece.

Both of these cards were created using Melanie Muenchinger's "Wild Heart" and
GKD's designer paper and cardstock

Barb loved butterflies and flowers and color!
well that's it for me!!

now hop over to the awesome blog of teammate Melissa Cash and see what gorgeousness she's created

Make sure to leave a comment as you hop along because on Tuesday morning (Aug 28th), we will randomly choose one of the comments from all the blogs and that person will receive a huge grab bag of fabulous Gina K. Designs Stamps!

Enjoy the Hop!
hugs,

PS I've also entered both cards for Barb in the Moxie Fab World's Repetition Challenge .

Copic/Pro Marker Challenge at the Outlawz

Hi there (-:
This week, the Friday's Copic/Promarker Design Team at the Outlawz challenges you to create...
Back to School or school related project

I was tickled to make this - just wish I had a little girl image since my little 5 yr old Lily started Kindergarten on Monday....and she's riding the school bus!
Of course her first day, Dad stayed home from work and GranMa (ME) was there so we could all see her off...she's on the bus and while its turning around at the end of our road...we are quickly piling in my daughter's van so we could now  follow the school bus to the school so Mom and Dad could see her in her classroom (all the while taking pictures of course). GranMa (ME) lol stayed in the van with the two little ones...and then it hit me...I had a 10am mandatory meeting that I was heading up and it was already 9:15am!!! went to call work and my cell was dead...so began murmuring to myself "hurry up- hurry up"...
well, I did make it with about one minute to spare LOL
i believe in power of prayer (-:

was able to finally use the ABC Primer paper from Graphics 45
Colored with Copics E00, 08, 09, 31, 35, 55...Y23, B45, R27, G05, C2, 110
McGill corner punch, Stampin Up star punch, cardstock from Marks Finest Papers - Masonary Red, black,
small letters are (i think) from Hero Arts, ink is Memento's Rhubarb and black, red stickles

Image is from Phindy and called Ready To Go

and here is the kindergarten girl - the day before, going to meet her teacher, etc in her cowgirl boots and the one with all the jewelry LOL is waiting for the bus...her bangs were cut by her...she loves them but I believe she wont be cutting her hair again KWIM (-:

off to work,
so glad its Friday
(would you believe I STILL have not opened my Silhouette Cameo - hoping that Saturday will be the day!)

hugs,

Digi Doodle Shop Challenge #123

Hi there,
This is the beginning of a new challenge from Team Karen over at the Digi Doodle Shop Challenge Blog
and the challenge this week is ...
 to use Pearls!

Love it when the challenge says...pearls!
I love to work with the Viva Pearl Pens....can just have a blast adding all the pearls you want (-:
wanted to use this lovely vintage image from the Digi Doodle Shop called
Vintage Lamp Set   There are several images you get in this set for one price of only $2.00!

using some new designer paper from Creative Imaginations called Devotion (a purchase from the Charlotte NC craft show). Used Spellbinders Label Thirteen as mat for the oval image. Sponged the image lightly with Memento Potters Clay and then colored with Copics E07, 09, Y15, YG91, YG 95 and G00.
Used stash flat lace under the mat and also tied the small bow with it...the Viva Pearl Pens were Salmon and Gold. Cardstock was white and cranberry...

Very vintage but simple...
now off to work

have a beautiful day

Copic/Pro Marker Challenge at the Outlawz

Well hello there,
For those of you who follow me, WOW have I missed creating! Past few weeks have had to deal with family sickness and then some traveling to see family in NC (school shopping with the grankids!)  and more family illness...which has kept me from creating in what seems like FOR-EV-ER! This is my first card in so long, kept it simple...time is tight trying to catch up on everything

For this week,  the Friday's Copic/Promarker Design Team at the Outlawz challenges you to create...with a splash! anything water related...
My image is from Our sponsor this month  Guy Lou's Inimitability

kept it simple ...

colored with Copics E00, 11, 31, 35...B91, 93, 95
and added some stickles
Designer Paper from GKD

now one more picture - so glad to have spent this past Saturday at the craft show in Charlotte, NC with this awesome group of ladies (-:
Jennie, ME, Olga, Patti
and a big shout out to the Stampers Alley in Morrisville for opening their doors to us even though they were closed! (I spent more there than at the show!!)

This weekend having my Grankids (Lily and Logan)...
haven't seen them in a few weeks - need my Granma time with them now
