Sugar Creek Hollow

hi there,
working on vintage cards for Christmas and found this stamp in my stash...I've had it for years and used it maybe twice...so grabbed it up to use for my card for this week's challenge at Sugar Creek Hollow - to use vellum!

I inked my vellum with Ranger's Distress Rusty Hinge and Aged Mahogany - let it dry - then punched my leaves with MS leaf punch. Using a Marvy scalloped punch, created my vellum flower. Sponged its edges with the mahogany and added red brad and sparkly stickles to the center.  The image was colored with Ranger's Distress Peeled Paint Green, Aged Mahogany, Barn Door Red and Tumbled Glass Blue

The stamp is from Inkadinkado called Tin Can Mail

ok, I'm outta here
work work work

but hey no snow! I feel bad for everyone without power...am pushing my DH to invest in a generator this year - have a feeling its gonna be a rough winter...

This drawer holds up to TEN standard size cards WITH envelopes - how perfect for gifts for so many!

i tried so hard to get all the glitter to show! - each snowflake and scallop is popped with a dot of Stickles - they sparkle so pretty!!

Heartfelt Creations Alumni Blog Hop

I chose Heartfelt's gorgeous stamp set "HCPC 3331 All Seasons Tree Pre Cut Set"...it has the most beautiful tree! This is the "peak" week for all the gorgeous fall colors...so I colored my trees based on the colors I'm looking at in my back yard....

colored with Ranger's Distress - Rusty Hinge, Peeled Paint Green, Aged Mahogany, Barn Door Red, and Faded Jeans. While white cardstock was still in the Spellbinder Labels 8 die - sponged the grass and sky. Paper pieced the three trees.
 hope you enjoy this one...
the rest of the alumni members participating are

Three KNOCKOUT talented ladies - you won't be disappointed.

hugs,

stash supplies:
MFP's cardstock - white, aged olive, world gold

Day 8 - MFP's 12 Days of Christmas Blog Hop

Welcome to the 12 Days of Christmas Blog Hop! We have four samples each day for our hop! Please visit each of the following blogs for holiday inspiration! Start off on the MFP Blog for more inspiration!

Pam     Debbie M      Lois     and ME (-:

using MFP's set "Seasonal Poinsettias" and colored with Copic Reds...
i love to stamp on candles but for this project decided to make "a candle sleeve"...just means that the closure in the back is done with Velcro - makes it easier to remove and put on another candle (-:

removed sleeve from burgandy candle and wrapped it on a white candle
the flowers, leaves, embellishments, wired ribbon bow are all attached to black cardstock mat from Nesties Label 13. The mat is attached with adhesive tape down the center of the back of the mat to the sleeve. This allows the mat to stand out flat from the candle while wrapping the sleeve around the candle. I used velcro attached two time at the back so I can wrap different size candles.

if enough are interested, I will try to do a tutorial...my instructions dont seem clear to me so I probably have you confused too (-:

Tomorrow is "altered legal pads" hope you are enjoying our hop!

Speedy the Cat Challenge #77

Welcome Weekend!!
This week for the Speedy the Cat Challenge Blog we were challenged to "create seeing double". I've been working on a card for Operation Write Home (to make them a dozen) and decided to change my design and use "doubles"...

Since OWH sends the cards on to our troops - you have to keep your embellishments simple and flat. With this in mind I only added some scrunched seam binding. No buttons or glitter, etc. This is a great way to encourage our troops. If you've never heard of them, please check them out!

Without them - we would not have the "Liberty" we all enjoy...

Speedy the Cat Challenge #76

Welcome Weekend!!
This week for the Speedy the Cat Challenge Blog I challenged us to create "without using designer paper"!!!

EEKS - are you kidding me!! WHAT was I thinking...I HAVE to use designer paper...I mean that's why I have TONS of it...made a promise to myself that I cannot buy any more paper until I use up half of what I already have...(SO I wont be buying any new paper for a couple years LOL !!!) but we need to be challenged to think outside the box, right ?

soooo, i used some slim scraps and weaved a square, used a piece of plain cardstock and ran through the cuttlebug, and paper pieced my images from MFP's stamp set Autumn Glory...love working with this set!

added white pen dots, colored with Ranger's Distress Inks using nib (Mustard, Mahogany, Peeled Paint, Rusty Hinge) sentiment is Memento's Paris Dusk.
added stash ribbon, matted onto MFP's Evergreen cardstock matted onto White base.

Hope you get to join us and pop over and check out the rest of the Design Team's inspiration

Phri-days are Phindy's Challenge #76 - Anything Goes but must use a Phindy

hey hey hey!
Today is the first Friday in the month, so that means that it's time for the Phabulous Phindy Phriday when "anything goes" but for this challenge you must use a Phindy's Place image! There are some great images in the shop, if you are looking for a freebie you will always find a few on the Phindy's Place PCP Group.

I grabbed the adorable Phindy image called Peppermint Perfection ...too cute!

yep! that's bubble wrap!

colored the image with E00, 08, 09, 11 and YG 21, 63 67. Sponged edges with Ranger's Distress Aged Mahogany...designer paper from Graphics 45 and used Spellbinders...

Hope you get to play over at Phindy's - love the inspiration we get seeing what you create with our beloved Phindy's...
hugs
PS I showed the bubble wrap because am also entering this  card over at Sugar Creek Hollow's "trash to vintage treasure" challenge that closes Friday night...ran out of time to stamp this week so used my Phindy for this week (-: Have been stalking everything for "trash"  and then ...perfect! at work we received an office supply order and they were tossing the bubble wrap...whooooaaaaaaa....my grankids would love to get a card with this stuff so they can POP it (-: hence the silly sentiment...
