Another Tilda stamp from the Magonolia Collection. I don't remember where I got the sentiment stamp (most likely Ebay or AC Moore). I love her blowing little stars and making a wish! I made the inside to match the cover.

She is sooo cute! I added "raindrops" and a small puddle of water, that are hard to see. You can see that my cards with "Tilda" are not as embellished as many of the card blogs using the same stamp. Partly because my cards are the standard A2 (5.5 x 4.25) while others prefer the larger 5x5 card, so there is just so much room!
This card will be posted for sale in my Ebay store. Thanks for looking :)

Well, I've changed the layout and purpose of this blog. Originally I only intended this blog to be a way to answer those who email with questions (from my Ebay store 2paynehollercrafts) on how a specific card was made. However, I have recently fallen "in love" for a particular line of stamps (you will see most of my cards made with them very soon) and would like to pursue possibly designing for them. With that as my goal, I have changed my blog, added a visitor counter, and will be adding other details in the future! They are just adorable stamps. I don't do all the embellishments that most of the other designers use on their cards with these stamps, but the owner liked my "cleaner and simpler" approach. I am going to give this a try over the next year and see what happens. There are so many wonderful blogs that I just don't have the time to even begin to try and compete with them - will just post my little creations and see what happens.
what's the saying ..."a turtle never gets anywhere unless he sticks his neck out"...well, I'm a baby turtle in this "blog world" lol
Have a blessed day,

Linda

Bird with attitude

Love this stamp - this bird's expression is great! Did this very quickly and can see I didnt mat straight onto card. Bummer! Image is watercolored with SU's water color crayons. I stamped the inside "What's Up" matches that expression, don't you think? Well, it's Memorial Day so I'm going to spend the day with my husband. Something we rarely get to do with just us!

Tilda

Eve, sorry I didn't see your other question. You asked if I would be doing more of this little girl and the answer is a definite YES! She is from the Magnolia stamp collection and her name is "Tilda". She takes some time so it will be a few weeks before more cards are done and posted. I like using the cut-out method (aka paper piecing) and enjoy watercoloring her. You asked for more embellishments but quite frankly, that's not my style. There are so many beautiful cards available with sewing, buttons, ribbon, etc but honestly - I prefer the emphasis to be on the stamp and the sentiment ...I use embellishments to try to make the card interesting and eye-catching but not overwhelming. Of course, "over whelming" is up to the individual. Thank you for your interest, sincerely appreciate it. Your input is always welcome !!

Flower Soft

Eve, this card is done with watercoloring and the addition of a product called Flower Soft over the flowers. Very simple, you can do it. Only need a white glue and the Flower Soft to sprinkle over the areas where you want to have "flowers". I purchased mine online through a store called 7 Kids College Fund. On these cards I have added some glitter just to give the flowers a little "pizz-zazz"! I'm just starting to use this product and my head is swirling with ideas ....stay tuned :)
